Welcome and thank you for visiting our ANC 2E site! I’m Daniel Chao, the 2E07 ANC Commissioner and your neighbor on the corner of 31st and R. My husband and I have lived in the District for the past 3 decades and like many of you, we’ve enjoyed our time in Georgetown the most.
It is my passion for public service that brought me to Washington in the ‘90s, and I am eager to serve and represent my neighbors. Working to improve public safety, preserve our Village’s historic and vibrant fabric and ensure city services are delivered are my top priorities as your commissioner. From Wisconsin Ave to Rock Creek Parkway and Whitehaven to P Street, the tranquil and picturesque district 2E07 includes the most architecturally significant homes in Georgetown — from charming row homes found on P Street to Cox’s Row on Q and uniquely Victorian homes on 31st. Notable historic sites like Tudor Place, Dumbarton Oaks Park and Museum, and the Dumbarton House receive tens of thousands of visitors every year.
